Tigerair Australia to Fly from Melbourne to Bali.
Tigerair Australia, an Australian low-cost airline, recently announced that it will soon begin direct flights between Melbourne and Bali. Beginning 23 March 2016, the budget carrier will ferry passengers to Denpasar in an all-economy aircraft on a daily return service. Ticket price is expected to cost from $169 onwards.
With this new flight route, Tigerair Australia will be in direct competition with other budget airlines, JetStar and AirAsia X, which have been operating relatively unchallenged on the route since 2015.
In a statement last year, Virgin Australia said three Boeing 737-800 aircraft would be reconfigured into an all-economy layout and be repainted in the Tigerair livery ahead of the first flights in March, with all flights subject to regulatory approval.
