General Manager at PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai Airport, Trikora Harjo said that the airport is working together with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to plan for the solar energy panels that are expected to help reduce hefty electricity bills of approximately IDR 154 million per day. Trikora Harjo also said that the plans to implement solar powered panels at Ngurah Rai International Airport are currently only at discussions stage; Phase One will see solar powered panels being implemented and used to power the offices of PT Angkasa Pura I before being used elsewhere within the airport.follow url
follow site The plan is part of a larger pilot project from the Indonesian Ministry of Energy that will position Bali as the center for clean energy by 2019.There are also reports which states that the Bali Governor’s office also will be equipped with solar powered panels in the near future. To ensure that the programme takes flight, Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika expressed his readiness to accelerate the implementation of this program."We will do what we can to ensure that this programme is realized. We will gather all resources and assistance that we can get in terms of human resources and provide additional budgets," he said. Made Pangku Pastika lauded the central government’s programme as it is in line with government of Bali’s efforts to enlist Bali as a Green Province.
